Like so many other engaged couples in 2020, Gwen & John were forced to make changes to their wedding plans. They had always wanted a small wedding with just immediate family and their kids present, but travel to Costa Rica wasn’t an option given the state of the pandemic. They opted for a romantic photo shoot and small ceremony at the Lindsay Flanigan courthouse in downtown Denver instead. We started with some photos at the Crawford Hotel at Union Station, where they were enjoying a wedding staycation before the intimate courthouse ceremony that followed. The wedding was so sweet and sentimental and just the perfect way to bring these families together. We then walked around downtown to capture some wedding portraits before heading to Larimer Square where their guests waited for them to get the celebration going. I always say courthouse weddings are some of my favorite weddings…no frills or unnecessary “traditions” just two people celebrating their love with a handful of witnesses present.
