LHP Travels: New Orleans

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting a place that has been on my travel bucket list for awhile (well, two places, actually. Palm Springs is up there…more on that in a later post). New Orleans did not disappoint. As one who loves plants, history and architecture (ok, ok, and amazing food and adult beverages). I was there to cover an event for a University of Georgia football game, but still had time to explore the city on foot. Looking forward to another trip there…hopefully soon!

Favorite Stops:

Cafe Du Monde – Beignets and coffee…what could be better for breakfast. This tourist staple is a must.

Palace Cafe – Traditional New Orleans cuisine in a beautiful historic building on Canal Street.

The Drinkery – Fun bar on Bourbon street with live music every night

Pat O’Briens – Piano Bar with amazing cocktails

National WW2 Museum  – A Must-visit for history buffs

Port of Call – Legendary burgers and ginormous drinks
