Katy and Jess are one of those couples you just like immediately. They are sweet, adorable and sooo in love. Plus they are rockstars in front of the camera (see engagement sesh here if you don’t believe me). Everything about the wedding was beautiful. From the ruched mermaid wedding dresses, the groom’s suit to the presentation of their custom silicone rings that they both wore (due to the nature of their jobs), it was just a day that I was proud to be a part of. I was thrilled to shoot their wedding at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, near Buena Vista, last month. When I book a wedding for late April, I’m not typically expecting a full on snow storm to hit the mountains days before (and I’m sure the bride and groom weren’t either), but its Colorado and you just never know what you’r going to get. From a photography perspective, the snow turned out to be simply glorious, however, and it made for some amazing photos of this sweet couple. I love shooting a “winter wedding” any chance I get.
