The forecast called for rain, as it typically does, in the summer time in the mountains of Colorado. And sure enough, the rain came. And came. And came. Plans were already being made to shift the ceremony location from the lawn of the Westin Riverfront Resort in Beaver Creek when Josh and Molly had their romantic first look. In a moment courage, Molly looked at her groom-to-be and bravely made the call to keep the location outdoors, as planned, overlooking the beautiful Rocky Mountains. “They’ll only be getting wet for a little while, and heck! I’ll be right there with ’em!”, she decided. And I’m certainly glad she did.
Shortly before their afternoon ceremony, the clouds parted. The sun came out. The day suddenly turned into that glorious, perfect mountain day that’s the entire reason we love this state sooo much.
I don’t think it was a coincidence that the rain stopped just as Josh and Molly prepared to say their ‘I do’s’. It was a sign. Things just happen to work out perfectly for these two. And I hope it always does.
I know Josh and Molly through mutual friends and I couldn’t have been happier to be their wedding photographer that gorgeous (and eventful!) day in Beaver Creek. It was truly one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever photographed. Not only was the venue spectacular, and the planning and design (by the talented Alexan Events in Denver) top notch, but the thing I loved the most about this event was the fun, carefree and romantic attitude Josh and Molly took with them throughout the day. It was contagious and you could see it on the faces of each and every one of their guests.
Congratulations Josh and Molly! I hope you enjoy a lifetime of love, happiness and clear skies.
And thanks, as always, to my talented side-kick and partner in crime, Tanya.
