I’m so excited to share this happy and colorful Denver wedding with you today! Melissa and Tim were so much fun to work with. I loved the laid back approach they took with planning their wedding: They just wanted to have a fun party, in cool venues, with fun photos. Totally my kind of people! Their lovely ceremony at the Denver Botanic Gardens was followed by an awesome photo sesh in the RiNo Arts District of Denver (told ya….my kind of people). While the rain moved us to a tent for the ceremony, we had perfect weather to get some additional photos outdoors at a few Denver hotspots like Union Station and The Big Blue Bear.
And can we talk about their ceremony for a sec? Between the sweet tribute to the groom’s late mother, the friends who stood up for them as officiants, and the two romantic and captivating readings, there was not a dry eye in the house. Every. single. guest. watched Melissa and Tim tie the knot with so much love and admiration. Never in all my years shooting weddings have I ever seen guests so present and thoughtful during a ceremony. They were there loving, supporting, crying and cheering for them (not a cell phone in sight!) throughout the entire union and it was a beautiful thing to observe.
The reception at that followed at the Studios at Overland Crossing was a phenomenal party. Food trucks serving chicken and waffles and Little Man ice cream (again…..my people!) fueled the guests for an epic dance party that lasted late into the night and even included some spontaneous karaoke. All in all, it was the perfect day and I couldn’t be happier for these two. Now enjoy a few photos from Melissa & Tim’s big day!
